Coaching Career
Zach Arnett began his coaching career in 2011 as the head coach at Montana Western. In three seasons, he led the Bulldogs to a 13-18 record and an appearance in the 2013 NAIA Football National Championship Game.
Aztecs Success
Arnett joined San Diego State as the defensive coordinator in 2015 and was promoted to head coach in 2020. Over the next three seasons, the Aztecs posted an impressive 81-38 record, winning three Mountain West Conference championships and playing in a bowl game each year, winning four of them.
Mississippi State Head Coach
On December 15, 2022, Arnett was named the 35th head coach in Mississippi State program history, succeeding the late Mike Leach. It marks Arnett's first head coaching position at the Power 5 level.
