Cruise Lines Change Course Amid Russia-Ukraine Uncertainty
Norwegian Cruise Line Cancels St. Petersburg Stops
Voyager of the Seas Itinerary Altered
Due to the ongoing uncertainty in the Russia-Ukraine region, cruise lines are making adjustments to their itineraries. Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) recently announced that the Voyager of the Seas will no longer be visiting St. Petersburg, Russia, on its upcoming sailings.
Guests who have booked cruises on the Voyager of the Seas have been notified of the change. The ship will now visit alternative ports in place of St. Petersburg.
The decision to cancel the St. Petersburg stops was made out of an abundance of caution, according to NCL. The cruise line says it is closely monitoring the situation and will make further adjustments to its itineraries as needed.
Other cruise lines have also made changes to their itineraries in response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Royal Caribbean has canceled all cruises to Russia through April 24, and Carnival Cruise Line has canceled its cruises to St. Petersburg through March 2.
